Хайзенберг (Гейзенберг) Вернер (1901-1976), физик-теоретик, один из основателей квантовой механики, предложил в 1925 г. матричный вариант квантовой механики, сформулировал принцип неопределённости. Автор фундаментальных трудов по структуре атомного ядра, релятивистской квантовой механике, единой теории поля, теории ферромагнетизма, философии естествознания. Лауреат Нобелевской премии 1932 г.
